Editorial Policy
How Watt Atelier chooses topics, reviews evidence, handles images and separates reader usefulness from affiliate incentives.

Topic selection
Topics are chosen when they answer a distinct search intent inside smart-home electrical buying. We avoid articles that only swap an adjective or repeat the same shopping question.
Clusters are built across lighting, smart power, energy monitoring, comfort control, protection and room planning. Each article needs a specific reader, room problem and internal-link role.
Research process
The research pass checks manuals, rating labels, retailer pages, support documents, regional model differences and visible installation constraints.
We look for details that change daily use: plug depth, manual override, display placement, replacement signals, battery access, heat management and app-region support.
Image policy
Images must be relevant to the article subject and uploaded to the WordPress media library when used on the site. Article cards use the WordPress featured image, and body images appear near the section they support.
Licensed third-party images are logged when used. Generated or locally produced images are rejected if they show strange plugs, distorted hardware, unreadable text or misleading scenes.
Affiliate independence
Affiliate links may appear in buying guides, comparisons and route pages. They do not determine which topic we cover, which product is explained first or whether a limitation is disclosed.
Conflicts are rejected when they require pre-approval, guaranteed positive language or hidden sponsorship. Paid placements would need clear labeling before publication.
